Press Release: Booming Inverness is Scotland’s second largest city for traditional self-catering apartments

A ‘booming’ tourism industry has helped make Inverness the nation’s second largest city for traditional self-catering accommodation, according to a major new study.

An economic impact study by the industry’s trade body, The Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC), has revealed the growing popularity of the traditional self-catering sector within the nation’s cities.

The report stated that Inverness boasts 330 self-catering properties, placing it ahead of Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Stirling in a list of the nation’s top self-catering locations. Of Scotland’s cities, only Edinburgh has more.
