Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers (ASSC) – Online Privacy Policy

ASSC is committed to ensuring the best standards of practice in all its activities. Visitors to the ASSC web site (www.assc.co.uk) can be assured that the protection of privacy and confidentiality are given the highest priority. ASSC does not collect any personal information from visitors to its website other than information that is knowingly and voluntarily given. Enquiries to ASSC itself (the Association)

Visitors interested in ASSC can provide contact details via the Contact Us or Membership fill-in forms. Visitors cannot be contacted unless such information is given. Visitors are also invited to give additional information at their own discretion.

Enquiries to ASSC Members (the Properties)

Visitors interested in a holiday at an ASSC Member’s property can provide contact details DIRECTLY TO THE MEMBER using the Property Enquiry fill-in form or email link. ASSC is not responsible for how this information is used as it passes directly to the Member via email and is not kept, stored or retained by ASSC. Likewise, ASSC is not responsible for information collected by or submitted via third party websites which may have links from this website.

Use of Information

The information collected will be used to contact you with further details of ASSC current activities or to send details of future initiatives or events. It may also be used for research purposes. You can inform ASSC at any time if you no longer require such information to be sent.

We will NEVER pass any personal information on to any third party.

ASSC takes appropriate measures to safeguard the information it holds from unauthorised access or improper use. Our database is stored in a secure, password protected location. Only users authorised by ASSC have access to this data.

Individuals may request details of all personal information held by ASSC so as to contest inaccurate or incomplete data, verify the information and have it corrected it as appropriate.

The ASSC website is not targeted at children but in any event personal information will not knowingly be collected from children under fourteen years without parental consent.
