Guest Registration & GDPR – Your Legal Obligations.

Several members have admitted that they are not currently meeting government legislation – the following requirement is NOT NEW – it has not come in with GDPR. It has been and remains the LAW and all members should comply or risk prosecution.

The information that you collect means that by law (from 25th May 2018) you are considered both a data controller and processor. So whilst the information you are required to collect has NOT changed, the level of fines which the new GDPR legislation allows the government and the EU to impose for data breaches has increased  so please take steps to ensure you and/or your staff do the following when you are checking in guests.
