The digital world is constantly evolving, with more and more visitors accessing information online than ever before. It can be a challenge for tourism businesses to keep up with all the developments.

VisitScotland recognises this and is offering support to maximise your online presence through free digital reviews for Quality Assured tourism businesses.

What’s involved?
The review can be done remotely, and will:

  • Check your website is delivering its objectives and is optimised for the changing needs of visitors online.
  • Look at whether you are making the most of your free web listing on visitscotland.com and your Quality Assurance promotional materials.
  • Review the management of your businesses’ online reputation.
  • Check to see that your business can be be found easily in online searches and ways to make you more visible.
  • Establish current social media activity, how well its utilised and how it might be improved.
  • Look at how you are attracting new customers online by checking things like; search engine referrals, different kinds of traffic sources, bounce rates to name just a few.

A tailored action list will be produced to help improve and support your online presence. You will have the option to discuss this at a one-to-one follow-up meeting at your business or by phone.


How do I sign up?
To qualify for a digital review, your business must:

  • Be Quality Assured.
  • For a more indepth review, have analytics in place and be willing to share this with VisitScotland for the review.
  • Be committed to implementing the recommendations agreed.

Partners for Business Scheme

The Partners for Business Scheme aims to secure a collaborative relationship with the ASSC, making sure that Partners get the most out of their membership and in turn contribute to the work of the ASSC and the support of its members.

It will offers businesses the opportunity to engage directly with the members of the ASSC, increasing brand awareness and positioning the organisation at the forefront of the self-catering audience.

In return for a Partner’s support, the ASSC offers increased advertising exposure and the endorsement by the only trade association working exclusively for self-catering in Scotland.

We currently have five Partner’s for Business: SuperControl, HomeAway, TravelNest, MyRentals and ScottishCottages.

Affiliate Membership Scheme

Love Loch Lomond / ASSC Affiliate Membership Scheme

Love Loch Lomond and the ASSC are working in partnership to assist with the business development and promotion of local businesses.

We are now offering a reciprocal introductory membership package for businesses in the Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Clyde Sea Lochs area.

The Offer

Love Loch Lomond would like to offer ASSC members the chance to join them with a 50% discount. Packages normally start from £100 per annum for smaller businesses and rise to £320 per annum for businesses with a turnover of over £500,000 per annum. Therefore for Year 1 your membership fee would be either £50 or £120. Call Love Loch Lomond (if you’re an ASSC member) on 07495 547367.

The ASSC would like to offer Love Loch Lomond members the chance to join the Association, repaying the £50 joining fee, so that you only pay for the £75 annual membership subscription. Call the Membership Secretary (if you’re a Love Loch Lomond member) on 01462 894483.

Through various packages offered by Love Loch Lomond, membership will provide you with a listing and link to your website, and will promote news, events and blog articles on the website and via social media channels.  Members would be included in member’s mailings and also in trade and consumer e-blasts.  There are opportunities to provide competition prizes, get involved in promotions and attend networking events, along with opportunities to attend subsidised training and development courses. More information.
